At Sierra View Junior Academy, we are intentional in establishing connections with God, with others, and with learning. This year our grades 7-10 (ASB) went to Hartland Christian Camp for three days of team building, worshipping together, outdoor classes and wonderful fun.
Our SVJA Spiritual Theme for 24-25 is to Be Bold, based on 2 Corinthians 3:12 ("Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold."). It is our hope that our students gain confidence as individuals, as students and most importantly with God. Chad Lambie, guest speaker from Milo Adventist Academy in Southern Oregon spoke for morning and evening worships. He shared ways he has had to be bold and courageous in his life, dealing with adversity and fear, and still moving forward with God.
He represents overcoming and choosing to reach elite levels in things you do and most especially in your relationships with Jesus.
We had a lot of fun, learning archery, zip lining, analyzing science experiments, playing wild
and wacky games, glow-in-the-dark tag and hiking, singing, and praying together. At the end of this three-day focus, students thoughtfully committed to stepping boldly forward knowing that Jesus' grace holds them through anything they might face.
